Navratri – Worshipping Nine Goddesses Over The Nine Days:
During the festival of Navratri, the nine Goddesses will be worshipped during these nine days. Now, let’s know the meaning of the word Navratri. Nava means Nine and Ratri means night. This explains the nine nights of the festival. Do you know what is one of the most significant aspects of this festival? It is the practice of charity.
People such as Rakesh Rajdev and Rupalben Rajdev do a tremendous amount of charity work among those who face more challenges every day especially those who are less fortunate. They are from Rajkot, Gujarat.
This couple does an excellent job of organizing many special events. During the Navratri, they organized an event for the small children. Though there was coronavirus to stop many social events, the world was slowly returning to normal during this time.
The couple also loves to educate the kids about the festival during the events. They made it by combining the fun with the information about the Festival of Navratri. The Goddess Durgais worshipped as the epitome of feminine energy and power. They believe that it is important for Indian kids to know about MaaDurga and why Navratri is celebrated all over the country.
Children Are The Form Of Goddess Durga:
Those who are observing the festival of Navratri worship the nine incarnations of Goddess Durga. Even though it is celebrated for different reasons in different areas. This is because the Goddess Durga is a feminine energy and the young girls are a form of her.
Also, they made the children understand that fasting is the essence of the festival and also holds spiritual significance. Rakesh Rajdev and Rupalben also helped the children know about fast and its benefits to the body. The kids were also taught how to make simple foods for fasting such as Sabu dana Khichdi.
So each year Rakesh Rajdev and Rupalben Rajdev organize special events for the young girls during Navratri. This year they planned an exciting day at Fun World Amusement Park in Rajkot. They invited thousands of small kids who don’t have enough money to enter such places.
The kids were treated with free rides and also they were offered sweets and snacks. The coupe arranged popcorn, ice cream and cold drinks. They were also offered free educational kits which will help their education. It includes school bags, water bottles and lunch boxes. All these donations were offered in memory of Rakesh Rajdev late mother Vimlaben Rajdev.
